However, various methods often fail, and researchers have finally found the reason. A recent study conducted by Yorkshire Health looked at 4,000 obese adults, divided into 6 categories:
Healthy young women – obese women generally having fewer obesity-related problems, such as type 2 diabetes
Heavy drinking men alcohol – obese men with fewer problems with obesity, but with higher alcohol consumption
Unhappy and distressed middle-aged – mostly women with damaged mental health and well-being
Elderly and healthy: people whose health is generally optimal, but who are characterized by higher alcohol consumption and high blood pressure
Physically ill but happy elderly – mentally healthy elderly with chronic illnesses such as osteoarthritis
Poor health – people who have the most chronic diseases and who are the most economically disadvantaged
The importance of this study is that the researchers took into account a variety of factors, which is a big step forward in the treatment of obesity.
The distribution of body fat can be of two types: android and gynoid.

“A distribution pattern” of fat is so called “android” because more men than women exhibit it. You may have heard of an « apple » body type when the waistline is larger than the hips.  »
On the other hand,
a distribution » gynoid « is most often seen in women whose body shape called » pear « . In this model, the hip measurement is greater than the waist measurement.

1- Upper body obesity (Android)
In this group we classify people who eat a lot and who are physically inactive. You should limit the intake of sweets and exercise for at least half an hour a day.
2- Obesity centered on the stomach (Android)
Abdominal overweight is due to depression, stress and anxiety. Therefore, you should try relaxation techniques and exercise.
3- Obesity of the lower body (gynoid)
The members of this group are mainly women. You should try lower body resistance training combined with cardio exercises.
4- Obesity with a swollen stomach (Android)
Fat deposits in the stomach are caused by excessive alcohol consumption or difficulty breathing. You should limit your alcohol intake and try breathing exercises as they are a full body workout.
5- Obesity of the lower body including the lower legs (gynoid)

This problem is often experienced in pregnant women because the legs are swollen. You should try water aerobics to reduce pressure on the joints in the legs and feet, and spend some time sitting with your feet up during the day.

6- Large protruding stomach with fat in the upper back (Android)
